THE BEATLEGS
The captivating, fun, exciting spirit that came to be known as "Beatlemania" is alive again in the Beatlegs authentic and entertaining Beatles tribute band. These four lads have carefully and skillfully recreated the Beatles experience by not only performing all the great songs of the original four, but also by sporting the same suits, boots, mop-tops, musical instruments, and gear. The Beatlegs make it possible for music fans from every generation to experience the same thrilling rush felt by fans who were fortunate enough to attend an actual Beatles concert in the early sixties.

The Beatlegs certainly have a passion for music and will always enjoy playing the songs of the "Fab Four."However, what makes them unique among the hundreds of Beatles tribute bands today is their unwavering dedication to ensuring the utmost level of authenticity in their performances.
Same energy. Same charisma. Same feeling.

Performing a song list packed with all the fun and lively tunes the Beatles played while touring. From the Cavern Club days in their hometown of Liverpool, to their last concert performance together at Candlestick Park in 1966-the Beatlegs concert is more than reminiscent of a Beatles concert, it's as close to the real thing as you can get.
Yeah-yeah-yeah-yeah.

MEMBER'S EVENING
Thursday 22nd MAY

Paul Levent is slick, well presented and served with a generous helping of laughter.
Mention the word “ventriloquist” and it brings to mind a handful of names. Amongst the even smaller number of great ventriloquists you will find the name PAUL LEVENT, known throughout the world of entertainment, not only as a technically superb ventriloquist, but also a hilarious stand-up comedian. However, it is with his larger than life characters. Syd & Gladys Winkle, that we usually associate Paul.

Internationally acclaimed in cabaret, TV and theatre, receiving many coveted awards and has been applauded by his peers throughout his career. Reviews of his act regularly include comments like ‘brilliant’, ‘Outstanding’, and ‘The Master’. Indeed Paul is a Master of his art. His comedy timing, material and skill, not only as a ventriloquist, but also as a quick-fire stand-up comedian all combine together with a special tailoring for After Dinner Entertainment to make Paul a truly great entertainer.

FRIDAY 4 JULY

THE ULTIMATE MADNESS
Formed in 2002 Ultimate Madness has become the madness tribute band that everyone is talking about. This madcap band has been touring extensively throughout the United Kingdom, Germany and Holland.

Having met Madness back in 2004 Ultimate Madness were given the thumbs up by Suggs and the boys. In the short space of time the band has been together it has firmly established itself as the leader in its field. In doing so the band has a big reputation supporting acts such as:
Bad Manners
Go West
Chesney Hawkes
Kid Creole and the Coconuts
Saxon
Busted
Simon Webb from Blue
Jerry Dammers from The Specials
The crazy, fun packed, talented, outrageous performance is delivered at a blistering pace with a few ska classics thrown in by The Specials, Bad Manners, etc., inspiring audience participation throughout. In fact the band has only one thing on their mind when they go on stage and that is to create the ultimate ska party, refreshing the nutty parts other madness tributes cannot reach.

Sat 4th & Sun 5th OCTOBER
FADE TO GREY FESTIVAL 2008

With the success of the first Fade to Grey festival in October 2007. The residents and Albany Club members raised over £4000 pounds of which went to maintain Activities at the Gilbert Richards Centre in Earlsdon. Special Thanks would like to be expressed by Debbie from the GRC to the Albany Club for their fantastic support and to the organisers of the event. With the money raised new cupboards for the pottery room were purchased, classrooms were decorated and the kiln has now been successfully saved. The centre is a vital asset to many local residents in and around Earlsdon and provides social support and educational classes too many older people in the area.
Due to the great success and the support received. The festival will this year be a two day bash. We are bringing back the “Earlsdon Fun Run” and hope to have some top celebs handing out prizes. The Saturday will see lots of fantastic performances on 3 stages, both days will see Street Entertainers, Samba drumming, Face painting and lots of stalls.
The organisation and band booking for the event is taking place as we speak and anyone with any ideas or who would like to have a stall could they contact Marianne via email or through the Albany club. We are looking for multi cultural stalls, craft stalls, organic veg stalls, etc .
A MySpace for the Festival is being setup at present, with clips of the bands and links to the artists own MySpace.

The festivals aims are to provide a bridge of common interest and meaningful interchange between different age, race, ability and economic groups and different cultures in our area and to provide an opportunity for people to engage in community
activity.

FULL DETAILS to follow - watch this space!
