BATTLE OF THE BANDS
NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE GODIVA COMPETITION
WHICH LOOKS SUSPICIOUSLY IDENTICAL IN ITS TIMING, WORDING AND FORMAT ! (Hey, have a good idea and everybody wants in on it - Webmaster)

To enter you should be a live band (no backing tracks guys) and be prepared to play two/three songs (tbc) one of which at least should be your original material.

PRIZES
1. £1000 voucher with a well known music store for the purchase of gear.
2. £500 voucher towards the costs of a day in a recording studio
3. A guaranteed paid gig in the Albany Club
£3 entry fee for audiences (bands free)

To take part in the Battle of the Band competition at the Albany Club the entry form must be fully completed and handed in with a demo CD or MySpace details. Completed forms can either be handed in to the Albany
Club or sent to:

The competition will take place on Thursday evenings between 8pm and 11pm. We may ask all bands to send a representative on that night to explain all rules in full plus tell you when your first round heat is.
All successful acts will be notified by post no later than a week before the date of the first heat. We will include the date of the opening heat that you will be playing in. The 1st round is a random draw. The number of rounds and heats will be dependant on the number of successful applicants. The winner of each round 1 competition will be named on the night and automatically registered for the
quarter finals –dates t.b.c.

1st Band challenge will be announced shortly and will take place in the new Albany Club Lounge.
