DESCRIPTION:Through intense scientific experimentation and a lot of nights at the pub\, The Mards have synthesised a genre of music that patches together indie bangers with a taste of pop punk to create a sound that reflects their life as young students in Manchester. Forming in late 2018 during their first year of university\, each member was able to bring their different background and shared love of music to the table\, forming the basis of what would become the band’s sound\, with inspiration from mid 2000’s indie bands\, such as The Kooks and Arctic Monkeys\, as well as pop punk bands like Green Day and Blink 182. After a year of bedroom rehearsals and playing gigs in and out of Manchester\, The Mards have finally finished working on their first set of tunes with ‘Is It Better’ available now on all streaming platforms.
