On Friday evening 20 March we closed the club at midnight. We know some of you will be unhappy with that decision, but in these uncertain times our number one priority had to be the health and welfare of our members, customers, visitors and staff, one and all, and that is why we have made the decision, based on Government advice. The sooner we act, the sooner we will start to beat this disease.
Every one of us will face our own challenges over the coming months, and we are very mindful of the massive impact Covid-19 will have on all the pubs and clubs, and their staff as well as people and trades who rely on them. Just to confirm, all events related to our Club are presently suspended - the forthcoming AGM, live music, room hire, catering, beer sales, social gatherings - everything.
We’re not going anywhere, and as sure as the sun rises in the morning we will be back. The Club's Management Committee are already discussing how and when we resume business, club membership, health and safety, legal requirements, goods in stock, maintenance of the premises, shops and buildings etc.., and we will implement those plans until we start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
The Club is now closed until further notice
We are hoping to have debit & credit card payments by next year’s renewal but sadly, did not manage to find the right provider in the last few months. We apologise for not being able to offer online renewals at this time.
Existing members must renew their membership every year in order to receive benefits like discounted drinks and free entry to the club for sport on TV and live music shows.
The Secretary has to put aside hours when he will not be interrupted.. Members are asked to only knock on his door during the following time periods;
These times will be for all membership enquiries, lost cards and entry fob activations. Room hire queries and urgent matters will be dealt with by the Secretary any time he is in. Thanks for your co-operation. If in doubt, phone before travelling any distance.
